Seminar class focused on ideas and developments in art from post-war through to today. Included trips to private collections, museum biennials, multiple gallery districts in New York City. 

 

Fundamentals of Art & Design 101

2012–2015

Explored the potential of art to fuse idea, material, and image through a series of studio assignments that consider communication, concept, and self-discovery. Considered the belief that honing creative habits and approaches form the backbone of students’ practices. Regular group critiques of assignments to develop a working vocabulary for describing and analyzing visual art.

Three-Dimensional Design 201

2012

Foundation course that investigated the elements and principles of designing with sculptural forms. Through a series of hands-on projects and regular group critiques, students will develop the skills necessary for creating in three dimensions.
